The Ho Chi Minh Museum is located in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a museum dedicated to the late Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam’s revolutionary struggle against foreign powers. It was constructed in the 1990s.

The museum is often regarded by some as a propaganda tool of the Vietnamese Communist regime, used to whitewash both the Communist Party and Ho Chi Minh’s legacy and historical image.

Ho Chi Minh Museum is listed as the largest museum in Vietnam. Museum focuses mainly on displaying artifacts and documents on life and activities of Ho Chi Minh president. Located in an area with many historical monuments such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, all form a complex of monuments attracting visitors at home and abroad.

On 15 October, 1979 the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 375 / CP on the functions, tasks and organization of the Ho Chi Minh Museum: “As a documentary research center of artifacts and historic monuments related to the life and activities of President Ho Chi Minh during the great revolutionary and propagate, educate the public about his career, ideas, morals and manners through literature, artifacts and relics.
