The Monument of heroic martyrs sacrificed for the country at the end of Bac Son road, a straight road with the Mausoleum in the east of the Square. Completed in 1994, the Martyrs Monument has architectural form and proportion in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

One Pillar pagoda is an ancient architectural work in the Ba Dinh square region, next to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and was built in 1049 under Ly dynasty. The pagoda has been restored many times. In 1954, before withdrawing from Hanoi, the French army destroyed the temple. The temple was restored again in 1955 with almost same architecture.

The stilt house and fish pond are situated in the President Ho Chi Minh historic site and in campus of the President Palace. This is a national special relic.

Parliament House is the latest project in the architectural complex on Ba Dinh Square. The construction was completed in late 2014, on old foundation of Ba Dinh Hall, next to the archaeological site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and designed by the group of German architect.
