National Museum of Vietnamese History is where the artifacts are preserved, reflecting the culture, history of building and defending country of Vietnamese people from the beginning to the birth of The Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Museum is modeled as Indochina architecture, located at No. 1 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. It opens all days except Mondays. It preserves many precious objects such as Dong Son bronze drum, Bat Trang, Shiva statue, wooden stakes in the battle of Bach Dang,etc.
National Museum of Vietnamese History was founded on September 3, 1958 on the basis of inheriting Louis Finot Museum built by the French in 1926 and came into operation in 1932. The building used to be the museum of the Far East Research Institute under French colonial rule. In those days, it is a gallery of collected antiques from countries in Southeast Asia. In 1958, the French handed over the building to the new revolutionary government.
The main system’s museum exhibition has 2,000 square meters, divided into sections for visiting according to themes and chronological order.

Part Two: From the first time of building country to Tran Dynasty
Part Three: Vietnam from Ho Dynasty to the August Revolution in 1945
Part Four: Gallery of Champa sculpture
