At 9 am Sunday morning, stamp players in Hanoi gather in street tea shops on Trieu Viet Vuong street to share their interest of stamps.
Established in 2002 by teacher- artist Pham Hao, the stamp market in 160 Trieu Viet Vuong has become a familiar place for Hanoi stamp players.
Mr. Hao (on the left) is the founder along with the famous philatelist Mr.Vuong Viet.
It is just simple some tables, a pot of tea, several albums and stamps, etc. That is enough for stamp lovers to establish a stamp market.
People prefer coming to the stamp market for exchanging, chatting, etc. to purchasing.
The most expensive stamp is one that is still remained with envelope, stamping and sender’s address.
Each stamp carries its own culture, history and art.
