Tam Dao National Park is based in Tam Dao range, which one of the terminal spurs of a larger mountainous area in the Northwest region of Vietnam. It runs 80 km from northwest to southeast and has more than 20 peaks with altitudes of over 1000m. The highest summit is Tam Đảo North with an altitude of 1592 m. Three other peaks with beautiful scenery are Thien Thi at 1375 m, Thach Ban at 1388 m, and Phu Nghia at 1300 m. Sharp peaks with sloping sides and numerous, deep partitions are characteristic of the topology.

With the trekking tour, travelers will hike 17km along Tam Dao mountain to Tay Thien temple. Begin early morning around 7:30 am, travelers go to Tam Dao mountain and National Park from Hanoi. After a 1.5 hours ride, you will reach Tam Dao town on 600m and start our day of trekking with a 2 hours trek on the flat climb up to the summit of Dong Co Temple ( 9km). This peak is the high point of the trekking route, rest time for delicious picnic lunch will be served in the temple at this peak overlooking the landscape. After lunch take a difficult trail trekking down to Tay Thien Temple ( 4km) , then walking down to the last point ( 3km) to meet the car to Hanoi.

Climate in Tam Dao: From July to September the climate is usually humid and hot. From October to June brings cooler and more pleasant weather.
