Lotus plate or one known as the One Pillar Pagoda has square shape with 3 meters each side. The curved roof was built over a 4- meter tall cylindrical stone column with diameter of 1.2 meters  (not including submerged part). Pillar consists of 2 blocks , mounted very clever , at first glance like a stone in a row. The unique architecture of One- Pillar pagoda is all placed on a stone pillar. here comes the reckless combination of romantic imagination through lotus symbol and the perfect solution for wooden architecture with brace terrace; especially the use of large cross- pillar from the column to the floor ,both creating a solid stance and bringing an effective aesthetic curves of lotus petals, setting the harmony between the roof and the floor by a virtual symmetry. Along with a square pond bottom that may symbolize the earth ( round sun, square land ), the pagoda seems to aim to an lofty idea : the kindness illuminates the world. The wooden building block supported by surrounding landscape, pond, trees creates intimacy but still pure elegance.
