Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a large memorial in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is located in the centre of Ba Dinh Square, which is the place where Vietminh leader Ho Chi Minh, Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam from 1951 until his death in 1969, read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a cultural work and a great art . Mausoleum was inaugurated on August 29, 1975 . It consists of 3 layers with 21.6 meters high and 41.2 meters wide. The exterior is made of gray granite, while the interior is gray, black, and red polished stone. Front side of mausoleum  presents the inscription ” President Ho Chi Minh ” in plum stone . In Ho Chi Minh’s probate , Ho Chi Minh wanted to be cremated and the ashes placed in three regions of the country. However, according to the aspirations and sentiments of the people ,the Politburo of the 3rd Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam decided to preserve Ho Chi Minh corpse in order that nationwide people, especially Southerners , international visitors can come visit.
